How often should I tune my piano?

Most piano manufacturers recommend tuning your piano twice a year. We find that most home pianos (in houses that are kept at a constant temperature and humidity) can get by with yearly tunings. However high use pianos and most church pianos will need to be tuned at least every six months. A new piano will need to be tuned four times during its first year.
